How do I install TimeMachine?
Visit the Chrome Web Store and click "Add to Chrome". The extension will be installed automatically. You can then access it by clicking the TimeMachine icon in your browser toolbar.
Is my browsing data private?
Yes! TimeMachine only stores domain names and session durations. We never collect full URLs, browsing history, or personal information. All data stays local on your device.
How do I start a focus session?
Click the TimeMachine icon, navigate to the Focus tab, select a preset duration (25, 50, or custom minutes), and click "Start Focus Session". The extension will track your focus time and block distracting sites.
Can I export my time tracking data?
Yes! Go to the Summary tab and click "Generate PDF Report" to create a comprehensive report with charts and insights. You can also schedule automatic email reports.
How do I block distracting websites?
Navigate to the Guard tab, add websites or keywords you want to block, and enable the blocking feature. You can also quick-block the current site with one click.
Can I change the theme?
Absolutely! TimeMachine offers 7 beautiful themes: Light, Dark, Cyberpunk, Minimal, Ocean, Sunset, and Forest. Go to Settings to switch between themes.
How do I sync data across devices?
Currently, TimeMachine stores data locally on your device. Cloud sync is planned for a future update. You can export your data as a PDF to keep records across devices.
Is TimeMachine free?
Yes! TimeMachine is completely free and open-source under the MIT License. There are no hidden costs, subscriptions, or premium features. It will always remain free.
